Cousin Time

I stumbled upon this quote and I just love it:  "A cousin is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost."  Some of my favorite memories are times spent with my cousins growing up.  I hope that Grace can have the same great memories of her cousins to look back on.  We sure made some good memories today.

It has become a March tradition to go to the Butterfly House at Dow Gardens with the Jones clan. This was our second year going as a family, and it was much more enjoyable this year than last.  Walking with a two-year old is much faster than walking with a one-year old.  We met up with my cousins, Kiersten and Kory, their kids, and my Aunt Carol and Aunt Sue.

After seeing the butterflies, we ate pizza and brownies at Aunt Carol's house before going to the dinosaur exhibit at The Center for the Arts.  Because it was after nap time, Grace got squirrely pretty fast, but we were able to see some pretty cool stuff.  I'm kinda glad dinosaurs are extinct--I can't imagine what life would be like having them roaming around.  I've got enough to worry about!

Some photos from our day....

Scary!

So glad we are able to get the kids together a few times a year. Thanks, Aunt Sue and Carol for working all the details out!  I think we all had a great time!

  1. Great pictures! I've never seen the butterfly exhibit...but it looks like I need to put that on my priority list!

  2. Your photographic skills amaze me. These pictures are just wonderful.

    I love Gracie's little curls.

You are on count-down to the move to your house, and being settled will surely be a gift.

Let's keep the sun shinning, we all need it.
